The memorial, located across from what was once St. Vincent's Hospital and the country's largest AIDS ward, was unveiled on Thursday for World AIDS Day, then immediately re-barricaded.

Back in January we were really, really happy with the winning design for the New York City AIDS Memorial. The new design though? Not so much.

Designing a good memorial is not easy, so it's nice to see someone knock it out of the park. Enter Infinite Forest, the winning design for an AIDS Memorial across from the late St. Vincent's.
