The union of two real estate dynasties grew yesterday, with the birth of a baby girl to Ivanka Trump and Jared Kushner. Trump Tweeted yesterday, "This morning @jaredkushner and I welcomed a beautiful and healthy little baby girl into the world. We feel incredibly grateful and blessed. Thank you all for your support and well wishes!" The child's name is Arabella Rose, if The Donald's bragging can be trusted.
Trump's original due date was July 14 (we know this thanks to Twitter) and she had been reaching out, via social media, to share pregnancy details (weight lifting two days before her due date) and asking advice for first-time moms (sample response, "Get rest when the baby does, especially if you are breastfeeding because it's like they are hungry literally every two hours!!!"), as she builds up the Ivanka Trump brand. Of course, she announced her pregnancy on Twitter as well.
Trump works for her father's real estate company and also has a line of jewelry. Kushner is a real estate developer at his family's business and the publisher of the New York Observer (he was recently profiled in the NY Times, 'The couple vacation on Rupert Murdoch’s 184-foot sailboat and have appeared as themselves on the CW series 'Gossip Girl.'"). His father Charles Kushner was convicted of witness tampering, tax evasion and making illegal campaign contributions and served two years in prison—he also paid a prostitute to lure his brother-in-law to have sex and then sent a tape of the fling to his sister because they were cooperating with the federal investigation against him.
