[UPDATE BELOW]

We've received a report that a Manhattan-bound F train was delayed this morning because a woman was going into labor, and the MTA has confirmed it. The woman was "removed by EMS from Southbound F Train at 21st-Queensbridge," and the delay was from 8:58 a.m. until 9:21 a.m. This is officially a trend! Will the next issue of Brooklyn Magazine skewer the designer afghans you can spread out on train benches for when little Dylan greets the world?

We'll try and find out more information on the incident, and whether or not the woman used all of the banal announcements in her breathing techniques.

[UPDATE] Tipster Diona was onboard and tells us that the woman was fanned by a "Good Samaritan" with a newspaper until EMTs arrived.

We were just arriving at the 21st Queensbridge stop around 8:55 AM. A few people starting running to the first car to get help. Soon enough everyone in the car heard whispers of people saying "she says she can't breathe." People cleared a two person bench for her to lay down and a woman started fanning her with a newspaper and was later the only person allowed to stay in the car.

Police officers then arrived and the announcement went that the train was being delayed due to an expecting mother needing medical assistance. Once police officers boarded the car they made us evacuate. The expecting mother was by herself on the train. The announcement was made that the train would be held in the station until EMTs arrived. The only people in the car were MTA officials, a few police officers and the good Samaritan helping the expecting Mom. The crowd of the people in the 2nd car was massive due to the morning rush and people in other cars peered out of the doors in wonder of what was happening.

It took about 20-30 minutes for EMTs to arrive and get the woman in a chair and out of the car. Directly after, passengers were allowed back in the car and the train proceeded on it's route.
