A private security contractor hired by the Port Authority to watch for suspicious activity and possible jumpers on the GW Bridge was caught smoking marijuana at his post yesterday afternoon. According to the Daily News, a Port Authority policeman stopped by Sami Omar's post on the New Jersey tower and noticed that the booth "reeked of weed." Allegedly Omar first denied smelling anything, then remarked, "It must be a passing skunk."
Cops say they found a bag of marijuana and a half-smoked "blunt" in Omar's shoe. The guard, who worked for FJC Security, is charged with possession of marijuana, among other infractions (aggravated use of a middle school excuse for marijuana smoke odor, etc.)
So how should Omar have reacted when the PAPD officer asked him if he smelled marijuana?
- "Yeah, like I'm just smoking a blunt in here when I'm supposed to be the first line of defense against terrorists? Haha thefucksthematter with you?"
- "Some weed lollipop truck just drove by, you ever seen that thing before?"
- *Pees pants*
- You ever listen to Moon Safari? I mean, the part where it's like, 'Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-daaaaaaaa' is insane."
