A Yankees fan who got an electric shock at the stadium this month plans to sue the stadium for $2 million. Portial Walton, a multimedia artist from Brooklyn, says she got zapped at an outdoor dining area outside a Hard Rock Cafe at the stadium. When she stepped on a "metal hatch" with a wire running out of it, she "started feeling electricity and then heard crackling like an electric transformer," the Post reports. Despite one of their fans' brush with death, the Yankees went on to win over the Twins 4-3. Sadly, Walton was in the hospital while this was happening.

"I started getting a headache," she tells the tabloid. "I couldn't get myself together. I was shocked that I was shocked." (Oh Ms. Walton, please don't stoop to the Post's level!) She was treated at the emergency room at Lincoln hospital, but she says she still suffers "from headaches, memory loss, tingling and post- traumatic stress disorder." It's unclear how that differs from the mental state of the average Yankees fan, but her lawyer insists his client is a victim of Yankees carelessness: "It was a jury-rigged system that was not safe for the public. They obviously didn't care much about the risk—they care more about selling their expensive skyboxes."
