To some people, Judy Viger, 33, will be seen as an irresponsible mother who deserves to be severely punished for allegedly hiring two strippers to perform at her son's 16th birthday bash in South Glens Falls. She was arrested on Monday on five counts of endangering the welfare of a child, and faces up to a year in prison. But for teenage boys around the world, Viger is their Mumia Abu Jamal, a shining example for moms everywhere.
Local police chief Kevin Judd told the AP that the "investigation began after people concerned about the November 3 party at the Spare Time bowling alley told authorities about racy photos that had been posted on social networking sites." The party was held in a private room where "several kids at the party got lap dances." There were about 80 people in attendance, including a 13-year-old and many adults who later said they were "outraged."
Nevertheless, nobody stepped stepped in to put a stop to it, and the outrage only turned into action weeks later when photos of the shenanigans appeared on Facebook. The company providing the strippers insists the dancers were unaware they were dancing for minors. An employee at the company, called Tops in Bottoms, tells a local CBS affiliate the charges were being totally "blown out of proportion." See for yourself!
