Tim Tebow's season as a New York Jet has been a sad sideshow to a horrible circus of butt fumbles and bad decisions. And after being welcomed into Gang Green with much fanfare, now Jets owner Woody Johnson is reportedly disavowing any initial desire to have the evangelical Christian on the team.

According to ESPN New York, the former Broncos GM Ted Sundquist interviewed for the Jets GM job (John Idzik got the job) and got some gossip from Jonson: "[Sundquist] said Johnson told him it wasn't his idea. Sundquist said it was his impression that the trade was 'forced' on Johnson and team president Neil Glat, who also participated in the interview." In other words, PASS THE BUCK. "Johnson also said, according to Sundquist, that he eventually 'jumped on board' with the Tebow idea, deferring to his football people."

Sundquist added, "They realized it was divisive and hard on the locker room, and they wanted an exit strategy." Wow, Johnson and the Jets figured out that the idea of Tebow on the team was terrible a whole season after New York City did. Can't wait for this brain trust to get started again in the fall.
