Well, this sucks—a woman says her $10,000 engagement ring was stolen from an H&M store in SoHo this month, after she accidentally left it in a dressing room.
According to DNAinfo, the incident occurred this Sunday at the H&M location at 515 Broadway. The unidentified 23-year-old woman was shopping around 2 p.m., and removed the ring while trying on clothes in the dressing room. Then, police say she left it behind, and when she returned a few minutes later, the ring was gone baby gone.
Authorities say surveillance video shows two women going into the dressing room after the victim, though there's no evidence either of them took the ring. H&M has not responded to requests for comment, and the incident is still under investigation. Take note and print out this blog post, gentlemen: there has never yet been a better argument for giving your betrothed a plastic Spider ring.
