There is a lot riding on the NFC Championship Sunday. Yes, a trip to the Super Bowl may be the ultimate prize, but how about a whole lot of food or a place in a wedding party? And, look at the lengths that some “fans’ will go for victory, is it ethical to deprive someone of the ability to watch Seinfeld? None of that will matter on Sunday when the Giants take the field in frigid Green Bay. Brett Favre and the Packers are used to these types of conditions and as they showed last week, bad weather will not slow them down.

And that’s the biggest problem facing the Giants. Eli has been great the past three weeks, but so have the conditions he has played in. He has never shown much when the weather is adverse and expecting him to do so Sunday is unrealistic. That means New York will minimize the passing game and emphasize the run. Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw will have to keep the chains moving for the offense to be successful.

On defense the Giants are going to try and patch together a secondary. Sam Madison and Aaron Ross have been practicing on a limited basis this week, while Kevin Dockery has not at all. Expect Corey Webster and R.W. McQuarters to see a lot of time and that will put the pressure on the front seven to get to Brett Farve.

All in all it will take a prefect day for the Giants to pull off the upset. They should keep it close, but in the end it will be too much of Favre and they will fall just short.
