A man was killed and another was critically injured when a driver lost control and crashed into parked cars on Givan Avenue in the Bronx earlier this morning. According to WABC 7, the car had been pursued by the New Rochelle police.
Apparently the New Rochelle police wanted to question the occupants of a Nissan Maxima after they had been seen in the lot of a Honda dealership. WABC 7 reports, "New Rochelle police attempted to pull the vehicle over on Interstate 95, but the driver sped south.
The driver got off Interstate 95 and lost control, crashing into several parked cars."
Police responded at 5:20 a.m. The passenger was declared dead and the driver was taken to Jacobi Hospital in critical condition. The investigation is ongoing.
