Today's depressing reminder of our civilization's gurgling downward spiral comes to us via a YouTube video (where else?) of teenagers (of course) attacking a Wendy's employee who tried to break up a fight in Queens Village. Our narrator is a teenage girl—another orphan of a bankrupt culture who thinks she's 50 Cent—who yells, "Wendy's lady, move!" But the Wendy's lady does not move, and after someone throws some food at her, she's pummeled by at least two of the girls.
Fox 5 reports that the Wendy's lady suffered a concussion and is currently unable to work; she says the fight started after she went up to the youths and told them if they weren't going to buy anything they had to leave. Police are investigating, and school officials have identified two of the teenagers in the video as students of the nearby Martin Van Buren High School. A Wendy's spokesperson issued a statement saying, "This vicious attack on our female employee was shocking and uncalled for."
Seriously, it's not as if Wendy's lady was trying to rip out a customer's hair extensions. She was just in the wrong place at the wrong time—namely Wendy's at, oh, any hour of the day. If there's any silver lining here, it's that these days we can always count on stupid teenagers to document their criminality and share the evidence with the world!
