Police in Elizabeth, New Jersey are investigating an officer's conduct during a wild melee that occurred outside a popular nightclub earlier this month. The incident, which was captured on video by a gleeful woman screaming "WORLDSTAR," occurred at ENVY Nightclub, one of the "Most Sought After Nightspots On The East Coast" (according to the club's website.) There's not much context to this short clip, but it does show a cop punch a woman in the face when she tries to intervene around the 15 second mark.

Details about the fight are scant, but police officials tell NBC New York that the officer remains on active duty. What we DO know is that we really want to check out ENVY. According to the club's website, there's "No Need To Cross The Bridge, Drive Thru The Tunnel - New York City Has Nothing On Club Envy... Walk Into A 100 Year Old 'Phantom Of The Opera' Mansion. As You Gaze Upon The 40 Ft Ceilings Dripping In Swavorski Crystal, You Are Engulfed In A Layer Of Fog Drawing You Into The Rapture Of Bass Pounding And Summoning You To Enter A World Of Dance - Lights - And Music." An ENVY employee declined to comment on the incident this morning.

Last year, a Philadelphia cop was fired after getting caught on video sucker-punching a woman in the face at a Puerto Rican Day parade.
