When he wasn't not denying his morbid fascination with making a second presidential bid, Rudy Giuliani spent much of his time on MSNBC's Morning Joe this morning criticizing Mayor Bloomberg for the city's poor response to the Blizzageddon, calling it a "big mistake." (You can see the video below)

Though he says at the offset that the overwhelming criticism of Bloomberg (which has destroyed his approval ratings) was "overdone," he spends over four minutes listing various problems with Bloomberg's snow response; in particular, Giuliani said he made a mistake in not declaring a snow emergency (ahead of time), not getting the plows out on time, and "if there was a slowdown...he should have picked it up." Giuliani also revealed one of his favorite past times during emergencies: "I like going to the sanitation garages at 4 in the morning, 5 in the morning."

Recently, the Post compared Giuliani's public schedule and response to the blizzard of '96 with Bloomberg's, and found Bloomberg's response was severely lacking. The city was hit with another, smaller snowstorm today, which seems to have tapered off now, but more snow could come in tomorrow. Since we've been cooped up inside all day, we're kind of hoping so—maybe then we could finally perform our native snow dance!
