A bank robber threatened to blow himself up inside a Chase bank on Nostrand Avenue in Flatbush on Monday evening, according to the FBI and NYPD's Joint Violent Crime Task Force.

After entering the bank around 5 p.m., the suspect presented a note demanding cash from one of the bank tellers, then made his unnerving threat and pointed to what resembled a remote detonator in his hand. He left the bank without getting any cash.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing a white baseball hat, white sneakers, glasses, and a denim jacket, and pulling a rolling suitcase. Approximately 6 feet tall, he is estimated to be between 30 and 40 years old.

It has yet to be determined if the bomb threat was genuine, or a hoax. However, PIX11 reports that the FBI is urging the public to consider the suspect armed and dangerous.
