[Update below] Around 11 a.m. this morning, a building under construction in Gerritsen Beach, Brooklyn collapsed. One construction worker was killed and at least three others were injured at 40 Frank Court.
According to WABC 7, "The worker was pinned under the top portion of the Frank Court house fell off its foundation just after 11 a.m. this morning. Firefighters pulled the worker out from under the building as they stabilized the structure." The 25-year-old worker, apparently assigned to the roof, was taken to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Update 2:59 p.m.: One of the victim's coworkers tells the Daily News, "We saw him on the floor. He was moving, but he couldn’t talk." The worker also said that just before the accident, they had been joking that the two-story structure would collapse. "I just felt something was wrong,” said the worker. "I saw the support wasn’t strong. I thought something was going to happen." Department of Buildings officials are now conducting an investigation.
