[UPDATE BELOW] Service along the 1 line is currently suspended between 137th Street & 207th Street in both directions has resumed after a woman was struck by a southbound 1 train at the 157th Street Station. According to the FDNY, the incident happened around 1 p.m. First responders removed the woman from underneath the train and rushed her to Harlem Hospital with an arm injury.

The MTA and NYPD could not immediately provide any details about how the woman ended up on the trackbed. The incident marks the second such subway incident today and the ninth since Wednesday. We'll update as more information becomes available.

Update 2:41 p.m.: An NYPD spokesman tells us the unidentified woman, age 60, is believed to have jumped in front of the oncoming 1 train. She was removed to Harlem Hospital in critical condition and is currently not expected to survive.
