[UPDATE] Between the temperature suddenly dropping about 25 degrees and DNAInfo's eyewitness report of actual snowflakes manifesting in the skies, we're ready and willing to believe that it truly is snowing outside...except we haven't seen any real proof of it yet. "I can reliably report that snow or asbestos flakes or styrofoam fragments or something resembling snow is now swirling in the NYC sky," tweeted RGA. Anyone have any photographic proof?

One of our colleagues swears he saw "little white things" in the air when he popped outside for a smoke, and we've seen plenty of tweets getting excited about it: "who says friday the 13th is bad luck? there are snow flurries downtown!," tweeted Kate Spade New York. Others are decidedly unconvinced: "47 snow flurries per block in 2 hours is NOT snowing in NYC, so please! It's f'ing freezing, tho," tweeted Carlos Henriquez.

So if anyone has any picture proof, please email it to us at [email protected], or tag them as "Gothamist" on Flickr.

Update: So it really truly kinda sorta DID snow today, and thanks to you, we have some proof of the (very mild) flurrying. Above, click through to see some photos of the first dusting of 2012, and below, check out video proof, via DitmasParkBlog.
