Late last night, as we strolled through DUMBO outside Gothamist HQ, we came upon this lost dog running through the streets with her leash wagging in the wind. We warmed up in the Chase bank vestibule, walked around the neighborhood searching for her owner, and even shared some organic dog treats. But sadly, we couldn't find this little one's human. [Happy Update Below!]

We believe the dog is a poodle mix (one person suggested maybe a Bichon Frise), or perhaps a combination sheep and teddy bear. She has two collars, including a blue and yellow one with a sun theme. Just as we did with Boots last summer, we're going to take her to the vet today to see if she has a microchip. But if you recognize her, send us an email at [email protected]

UPDATE: We're very happy to report that the dog's owner contacted us, and they'll be reunited shortly! It turns out our little scamp's name is Zuzu (not Lady/Princess James, as we arbitrarily imagined at one point). Don't forget to microchip your dogs and cats!
