A legally blind woman was found stabbed behind a Bronx building yesterday, and police are investigating whether she was thrown off the roof of her building. According to cops, the 49-year-old woman was found around 2:40 p.m. Wednesday on Courtlandt Avenue near E 154th Street in Melrose. Sources told the Post that she had been stabbed "several times in her neck and side during a struggle with her boyfriend before she plunged to the ground."

Police added that the victim had been stabbed multiple times in the stomach and was pronounced dead at the scene. Cops are waiting for the medical examiner's report to determine whether the woman died of the stab wounds or from the fall. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.

Update: Police have now arrested a 35-year-old man in connection with the death of the 49-year-old blind woman. No other information is known about the suspect right now, and police are still investigating the fall. But NBC adds that authorities found blood in the woman's bathroom and believe she may have been killed there and moved elsewhere. The woman was found lying naked in the street.
