Everyone needs a hobby; some people scale bridges, others like dressing up in costumes, and some very rich folk like to give mysterious donations. And then there are those people who trade cabs.

Ray Tomkinson of Manchester, England, and Alvaro Gallego of Queens, both "taxi entrepreneurs," have been exchanging vintage cabs back and forth across the Atlantic for over a decade. They've never met in person, and besides shipping costs, no money is involved; they're just two connoisseurs sharing vintage vehicles with one another.

Their hobby has led to antique London black cabs now roaming through Manhattan (have you spotted any?), and Checker cabs (R.I.P.) driving on the left side of the road in England. Hey, maybe these guys should work on a new hybrid design for the taxi of tomorrow!
