There was much ado last September when Florida Pastro Terry Jones and his mustache threatened to burn a copy of the Koran, and after some cancellations and bills we thought we had finally heard the last of him. But if Jones learned anything from the ordeal it's that timing is everything, so over the weekend, far away from any anniversaries of terrorist attacks, he burned a copy of the holy text in front of about 30 people. Where's the "Dude, You Have No Koran" guy when you need him?
He had reportedly been "trying to give the Muslim world an opportunity to defend their book," but when he heard no response from the "Muslim world" headquarters, he and fellow pastor Wayne Sapp held a trial for the book, declaring it "guilty" and ordering it "executed" before setting it on fire. Jones was happy with the turnout, saying, "This is a once-in-a-lifetime experience." Jadwiga Schatz said, "These people, for me, are like monsters. I hate these people." She's talking about Muslims there, not the monsters present for the event.
