A city Correction Officer's 15-year-old son may be facing charges after shooting his friend in the abdomen. The teenager had allegedly been playing video games with his friends in his home in Flatlands when he was able to crack the safe containing his mom's 9-mm. pistol. While showing off the gun to his friends, he pulled the trigger and his his 20-year-old friend in the stomach. It's unclear if the shooting was an accident.
His friend was rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he is currently in critical condition. One neighbor told the Daily News, "There was blood flowing all over his stomach. It was terrible." The teen is being questioned, and no charges have been filed yet.
