An argument at a Greenwood Heights McDonald's last night ended with a 16-year-old girl covered in blood from deep knife wounds to her nose and arm. The fracas occurred at Fourth Avenue and 37th Street in Greenwood Heights when an argument erupted shortly after 7:30 p.m. It's unclear what started the fight, but one witness tells the Daily News the assailant "pulled out a long and curved knife. He slashed at her two, three times and ran. Her face was covered in blood. When I went to hold her hand, her right hand was almost off her body."
"He sliced all the way down to the bone," another witness says. Bystanders tied a scarf around her arm to stop the bleeding, and the girl was rushed to Lutheran Hospital, where she was listed in serious but stable condition last night. Her attacker is still at large, but the Post reports that investigators believe the two were acquainted.
