Police are looking for a man suspected of shooting and killing a Bronx teenager on a busy Brooklyn thoroughfare over the weekend.
NYPD officials said 16-year-old Tyson Harps was gunned down around 8:45 p.m. Saturday on Eastern Parkway near Rochester Avenue in Crown Heights, just steps from Lincoln Terrace Park. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene from a gunshot wound to his head, officials said.
Police said Monday they were searching for a man who ran eastbound on the parkway. On Friday, they described him as approximately 5'9" and said he was last seen wearing a hat, gray hooded sweatshirt, black jacket, gray sweatpants and black sneakers.
Police are still investigating what led to the shooting and have not yet made any arrests.

Harps lived in Melrose, more than 10 miles from where he was killed, according to the NYPD. Police data compiled by Gothamist shows he is the 24th teen to die from gun violence in New York City so far this year, surpassing last year’s total of 23 teens.
Homicides and shootings in the 71st Precinct, which includes Crown Heights, remain about level with their numbers by this point last year, according to official data. There were four homicides and eight shootings this year through Oct. 26 in the precinct.
