Some subway riders have a case of the Tuesdays, thanks to a work train derailment at DeKalb Avenue. The MTA announced this service plan that reroutes the D and Q and suspends B service:
- Southbound ‘D’ service rerouted via the ‘A’ line from 59th Street to West 4th Street then via the ‘F’ line to Stillwell Avenue.
- Southbound and Northbound ‘D’ service routed via the local from 59th Street to Bedford Park Boulevard.
- Northbound and Southbound ‘B’ service suspended between Brighton Beach and Bedford Park Boulevard.
- Southbound ‘Q’ service being rerouted via the ‘R’ Line (Montague Tunnel) from Canal Street to DeKalb Avenue.
The MTA also says, "Crews are on the scene working to re-rail the work train, after which they will inspect the track and make any necessary repairs. Customers who use the affected lines should allow for additional travel time. We apologize for the inconvenience."
