Authorities say that blood and DNA belonging to slain businessman Menachem Stark has been discovered in the van they believe was used to kidnap him, according to reports.

Investigators have previously suggested Stark—whose badly burned body was found in a dumpster just a few days after his January 2nd kidnapping—was accidentally asphyxiated in the kidnap van, and that the kidnapping itself was intended as a scare tactic. The van in question was found in a Brownsville parking lot earlier this month, and had apparently been washed and cleaned; the son of the van's owner was questioned by authorities, but has not been charged.

Though authorities say they have a number of leads, there have been no arrests in connection to Stark's murder. They are also looking into the disappearance of $1.7 million from Stark's bank account, though it is believed that money was withdrawn while Stark was still alive.
