Don't say we didn't warn you—we're like the Harold Camping of subway service changes over here—but as a final reminder, the 4, 5, and 6 trains are calling it quits tonight, and every night for the rest of this week.

From 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. tonight through Friday, the trains will be completely stopped between Grand Central-42nd Street and Atlantic Avenue while transit workers attempt to "fast track" repairs all in one fell weeknight swoop. NYC Transit president Thomas Pendergast says that workers will perform power and signal inspections, scrape dried mud from the roadbeds, repair platform edges and power-wash the stations, and he recommends that straphangers add an extra 20 minutes to their commute to plan around the disruptions. Oh, and it's not just the 4, 5, 6: ten more lines will be shut down over the next two months. Don't forget to bring a snack!

Many riders are understandably pissed: “It’s going to mess up my whole commute, and the commute of the people coming to replace me at work. This is going to be bad for everyone," one security guard told the Post, while another straphanger was caught totally off-gaurd: "I wasn’t even aware of it,” said one passenger who works near Grand Central. “That’s a problem. That’s a little disturbing.”
