Red Hook is a wonderful, vibrant neighborhood whose charm is comprised of some ineffable blend of industrial grit, vibrant street art and stunning urban nature—flowering vines creeping up the sides of old warehouses, little plants fighting for life between cracked cobblestones and of course, the stunning views from the edge of the water.

So naturally, it's high time that we knock some of that shit down and build a bright, gleaming new office complex!
The Golten Marine building, located at 160 Van Brunt Street, was once used to repair and manufacture ship parts. Now, the Daily News reports, it's been filled with "sleek office furniture" and probably crammed with iPads, massage chairs and those desk setups where everyone is treated to two sprawling Mac screens because one just can't contain all the creativity.

Everyone is so creative and busy! (PWR)
"More and more, we're seeing tenants in the innovation sector drawn to spaces that can inspire them and motivate their team," Aaron Lemma of PWR, the building's developer, told the tabloid. "They're drawn to spaces with character that get them into the creative mindset."
PWR bought the 98,650-square-foot building last year for $21.5 million, and it's currently available for lease. Signed tenants already include "shared work space provider Cowork.rs and online annotation company Genius Media." Look at all these hip creatives trekking from the subway, and how soon can we charter them their own bus? Remember how happy that made everyone in San Francisco?
