The 22-year-old Queens woman who allegedly fatally suffocated her 11-month-old son this week took a photo of the infant and posted it Facebook right after he died, according to cops. She allegedly admitted to authorities that she "“snapped,” telling them she was “done being his only caretaker.”

Elmhurst resident Nicole Kelly was arraigned on murder and assault charges yesterday, after son Kiam Felix, Jr., died of asphyxiation on Sunday night. Kelly allegedly admitted to cops that she purposefully covered Kiam with a bedsheet that night and took a 30-minute shower. When she returned, according to authorities, Kiam was unresponsive; she failed to call 911, but instead "cleaned out all of his stuff from the apartment and dressed him in his suit" before snapping a photo of his corpse and posting it on Facebook with the caption, "RIP Tinkabutt."

According to court papers, Kelly told police she could no longer handle caring for Kiam, but did not want to place him in foster care. "I didn’t want the child. I reached my breaking point," she allegedly said. "“I was taking care of my son by myself for 11 months and getting overwhelmed...On July 6th I snapped. I decided I was done being his only caretaker. I tucked his entire body underneath the sheet to make sure he couldn’t breathe.”

Kelly is currently being held at Elmhurst Hospital, where she is undergoing medical and psychiatric evaluation. She has pled not guilty.
