A pregnant woman was shot in the stomach last night in Yonkers. NBC New York reports, "The woman was shot at about 9 p.m. in the lobby of 541 Bronx River Road."
The woman was taken to Jacobi Hospital in the Bronx and Yonkers police told the Journal News, “Right now, [the mother] in surgery. We don’t have a condition on her, but we did receive word that an emergency C-section was performed and the that baby is stable."
The police investigation is still continuing—it's unclear if the woman was targeted.
