A Coach USA bus slammed into a building in Midtown late Thursday afternoon, according to local officials and the company.

The bus had just finished dropping off passengers at 101 Park Ave., police said. The building houses multiple businesses, including an art museum, indoor golf studio and club.

After dropping off the passengers, the driver lost control of the bus, jumped the curb and hit the side of the building, according to the Department of Buildings.

The vehicle then continued into a sidewalk shed in front of 370 Lexington Ave., damaging around 35 feet of it, according to the DOB. The department added the damaged shed was already being repaired.

Police said there were no passengers on the bus at the time of the crash. The driver was taken to a local hospital for evaluation, buildings officials said.

"Our top priority is the safety and wellbeing of our customers, team members and those we share the roads," Coach USA spokesperson Dan Rodriguez said in a statement Friday. "We are currently investigating what occurred as to the incident near Grand Central."

DOB inspectors observed nonstructural damage to 101 Park Ave.'s facade, and a gate at the building's loading dock was knocked out of its tracks. No damage was observed on 370 Lexington Ave.

Correction: Because of inaccurate preliminary information from the NYPD and Department of Buildings, a previous version of this story misstated who operated the bus. It was operated by Coach USA. The photo, headline and article have been changed.
