Police say that a teenager was raped by five men, one of whom was armed, in a Brooklyn park this week.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Thursday inside Osborn Playground, near Osborn Street and Hegeman Avenue, in Brownsville. The 18-year-old victim was with a male friend near the handball courts when they were approached by the five suspects.
According to WPIX, one man pulled out a gun and pointed it at the victim’s friend and told him to "get the [expletive] out of here." The woman was then sexually assaulted and raped at gunpoint by the five men. The friend called 911, but the suspects had run away by the time police arrived.
The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital in unknown condition. No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. Police sources told WPIX the "gunman is described as a tall black male about 20-30 years old and wore a red jacket and black pants."
