The Harlem man who stashed his dead grandmother's body in a bedroom closet and then spent two days smoking weed and fornicating with a prostitute in her bed has confessed, police sources say. Larry Davis, 22, has reportedly told investigators that he became frustrated after he asked his grandmother, 72-year-old Cora Davis, for $175 and she only gave him $1. Davis says he gave her a hug and then body-slammed her to the floor of her apartment, fracturing her neck. "Oh my God, I killed my grandmother," L.D. admitted, Det. Mark Worthington tells the Daily News.
But Davis reportedly freaked after the murder, because his grandmother had an order of protection against him. So according to Worthington, he did what any sensible young man would have done in his situation: drag granny into the closet and surf the Internet for "sex sites in an attempt to get laid." When that proved fruitless, police say LD went out and came back with a couple of friends, a big fat bag of weed, and one Nakeema Craig, who swears she had no idea the corpse of Larry Davis's grandmother was stashed there during their two days of quality time in granny's bed.
When Cora's concerned sons came looking for her, they found LD and Nakeema in the bedroom. LD reportedly told them Cora was in the hospital, and then ran. They found her body in the closet under some dirty laundry, but it took two weeks for the law to finally catch up with Larry. At a hearing yesterday, a judge ordered him held until his next court date, June 1st.
