A Brooklyn man confessed to cops that he’d stabbed his girlfriend to death and murdered her two male lovers, after walking in on them during sex, but now they doubt the story. Officers found John Brandon standing over Deborah Blount's bloody body in their bedroom; he told them he’d chopped up the two other corpses and disposed of the parts in New Jersey. But after watching surveillance footage captured near the home—at Eastern Parkway and St. Johns Place—police found no evidence the two men actually existed.
Neighbors saw the middle-aged couple in the hallway of their building Thursday night and on Friday heard a woman yelling for help. "I screamed out the window for them to shut up," Lulu Facey said. "I heard a lot of screaming and dogs barking Friday night, but I just went back to sleep. It went on for five minutes and then it stopped." When cops found the body Brandon confessed to killing the woman, tacking on the two other victims, who cops now suspect he fabricated. "This may be an elaborate tale to explain why he killed her," a police source told the Daily News Friday night. "We've looked at almost 48 hours of surveillance tape, and the only images we have are of the two of them going into the apartment."
Still, Facey suggested that though Brandon’s story may be fiction, it’s based on the truth. "She was dating more than one guy and just moved into this apartment three weeks ago," she told the Post.
