Last night, a commuter plane from Rochester, NY "landed at Newark Liberty International Airport and blew some tires in the rear and veered off the runway onto a taxiway," MyFoxNY reports.
The plane, United Express flight 4480, had 13 on board and luckily no one was injured. The plane stopped without hitting anything but it may have been very close to hitting the FAA's building.
Express Jet, which operated the flight, said, "Express Jet Flight 4480, operating as United Express from Rochester, NY to Newark, experienced four blown tires shortly after landing. The crew safely brought the aircraft to a stop, and all eight passengers safely deplaned and were bused to the terminal. "
