Did you know that you can follow the local National Weather Service on Facebook? Did you know that the annual NWS Open House at Brookhaven National Lab is just three weeks away? Did you realize there's absolutely nothing happening on the local weather scene this weekend?
Mostly sunny, dry, and slightly cooler than normal is the weather story for today. A few fair weather cumulus clouds may pop up in the afternoon and the high will be around 84ish. Tomorrow, Sunday and Monday should be sunny and warm. Afternoon highs will run to the upper 80s, which is slightly above normal for mid-July.
Some sort of front/disturbance thingy is expected to arrive either late-Monday or sometime Tuesday. As the front approaches the humidity will increase. Fronts and humidity add up to a chance of showers sometime in that time frame. Lots more sun and warm weather, maybe even a few 90 degree days, will probably follow. Lazy days of summer indeed.
