Fulton Street Transit Center Follies


<p>A pedestrian concourse would mean less crowds on Dey Street.</p>


<p>The MTA hopes to alleviate crowding on the platforms.</p>



<p>Subway riders currently use "ramps, stairs, and passageways to access their trains, transfer from one subway line to another, or exit the station" but the MTA wants to build more open, direct ways for people to travel between lines.</p>


<p>Current entrances are narrow and dark, and the MTA wants to make them bigger and brighter.</p>


<p>Right now, the Fulton Street station is one of many entrances on the street. A new transit center would be a "clearly visible, well-lit central access point. "</p>
