For the very last time, New York City's political reporters mocked Mayor Bloomberg in their annual Inner Circle Show. The event raises money for charity and is capped off with a performance by the mayor himself, who has previously "pretended" to read "Fifty Shades of Grey", worn a headband, danced with crustaceans, "smoked pot" and hung out with Snooki and The Situation. This year, he did a mash-up of various Broadway shows, from Annie to The Phantom of the Opera, and ending with Rock of Ages. Here's a video—though you might need a Bloody Mary before watching it:
The Daily News has some details of the show: "At another point, the Franklin D. Roosevelt character reassures Annie, 'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself. Or if (mayoral hopeful) John Liu wins, that would be pretty scary.'" And when Annie's dog Sandy was mentioned, Bloomberg said, "For me, when I hear that name I expect Chris Christie to hug me."
