Anyway, the organization believes that by supporting purebreds, the show "aggravates the already dire animal overpopulation crisis and contributes to the deaths of homeless animals." They claim that after Uno the beagle's Westminster win in 2008, New York City shelters were filled with baby beagles who they believe were abandoned by fickle viewers. Will the city's shelters be overrun with scotties soon?
