In October, PATH conductor Michael Wilson took the no-food-on-the-train rule into his own hands, taking down two teens who were trying to sell candy on his train. He threw the box of candy out of the window and put one kid into a headlock, which landed him an assault charge. Now, the Post reports that he was fired in November after disciplinary hearing.
This wasn't his first time using food defenestration as a punishment. He was reportedly throwing boxes of pizza and buckets of fried chicken out PATH windows as early as 2005. One PATH rider previously told ABC 7 that most people ignore the signs prohibiting food on the trains: "You see them in the morning with their coffee, their bagels and the conductors don't really say anything." And according to our extremely scientific data, 40% of you admit to eating on the subway. Have you learned nothing of subway etiquette?
