The NYPD has launched a probe into the behavior of Deputy Chief Michael Gabriel, after he allegedly made inappropriate advances and sent "Twilight" themed texts to Detective Dawn DelValle-Sanchez. Sanchez initially did not report her superior's behavior for fear of retaliation, but her lawyer says she will cooperate with the probe. Lawyer Eric Sanders told the Daily News, "We fully expect him to be removed from his position, which is consistent with [equal opportunity office] policy."

Gabriel allegedly tried to massage Sanchez on two occasions, claiming he was a massage therapist. When Sanchez became upset at him, he then reportedly began to text her on his NYPD-issued blackberry, asking for her forgiveness. He wrote "I ask for ur forgiveness and another chance (Think Bella forgiving Jacob)," and later called himself the "biggest jerk in the world" and offered to retire. According to Sanchez, he also said texting her was the most fun he had had in his 30-year career, and deleting her contact information was "painful." Almost as painful as realizing he doesn't actually become a werewolf in a full moon? Sanchez said she believes there is "something wrong" with Gabriel.
