According to the Post, Attorney General Andrew Cuomo is the target of a death threat from an "imprisoned pervert with strong NAMBLA ties." Apparently a member of the North American Man/Boy Love Association posted a message on an Internet bulletin board offering "$10,000 to shoot Andrew Cuomo in the face!" Someone noticed the posting and contacted Verizon, who then let the authorities know. The Post suggests the entire NAMBLA organization may support the effort as a source says, "It is our understanding that people in the, and I hate to call it this, 'pedophile community' are angry at Cuomo's office because he's been making the [Internet service providers] take responsibility for policing child pornography - and he's been very aggressive in seeking to keep NAMBLA types behind bars through civil commitment." Cuomo's security has been increased and the investigation is continuing.
