Operation "Quit Leaving Your Google Glass & Beats By Dre in Your Car, Moron," has proved a success in Cobble Hill, where officers in the 76th Precinct have taken to nagging residents who leave their valuables just sitting around in their car seats like shiny bait.

Police reported a 47 percent drop in grand larcenies from March to April since cops started photographing phones, tablets and other gadgets that residents so enjoy flippantly leaving in plain sight in their vehicles. Cops also sent 35-40 letters to residents who left their apartment doors open.

“A very simple way to prevent becoming a victim of a theft is to keep all of your property out of sight,” reads a gently worded form letter, sent to the offending rubes, which, incidentally, the Post describes as both "hipsters" and "yuppies." (It's Brooklyn, so it must be one of them," instructs the tabloid stylebook.)

The campaign was so successful that cops will soon expand it to include Carroll Gardens. Operation "Where's Your Jacket? It's Still Kind Of Chilly Outside" is still in its planning stages.
