October is starting off with a continuation of September's trend of quiet weather. Central Park was 2.8 degrees warmer than normal last month. Rainfall at Belvedere Castle was less than half of the normal 4.23 inches. Don't worry, rainfall upstate was closer to average and the reservoir levels are only slightly lower than they typically are at this time of year.
The normal high temperature for this time of year has dipped below 70 degrees. Normal lows are in the mid-50s. Today marks the 12th straight day of above normal temperature. The warm weather streak is expected to continue through next weekend. Today won't get much warmer than it is out right now. Tomorrow and Wednesday will warm up a couple of degrees. A pathetic excuse of a cold front will be arriving tomorrow night. The most it can muster is cloudy skies and maybe a bit of drizzle tomorrow night into Wednesday. Sad.
Skies should begin to clear on Thursday and it will be warm. We may have another day of 80 degrees. Next weekend's weather is looking perfect for looking at fall foliage upstate or standing online at Open House New York sites.
