Most beauty queen contestants keep their pageant answers pretty boring (well, not everyone—remember Carrie Prejean?), but not us New Yorkers! Nope, at least one of the ladies vying for the Miss New York crown has some rather eyebrow-raising thoughts about who she'd like to dine with. Meet 21-year-old Washington Heights student Merlix Ventura, who's competing at this weekend's pageant.
DNAinfo profiled 13 of the contestants today, most of whom were pretty standard, except for Ventura: when asked who she would like to have dinner with, she said, “If it was a dead person, I would have to say Hitler, because I am intrigued by the Holocaust and I would love to know his reasoning for the genocide.” Ventura, who is a political science and Jewish studies major at City College, would also like to dine with nutso Brooklyn Councilman Charles Barron, should Hitler be unavailable.
