Earlier today, we learned that the Bronx was the least healthy county in all of NY state, with an absurdly high premature death rate, a teen birth rate twice the national average, and more STDs than the Gowanus Canal. But there's something worse than being horribly unhealthy and locked into a cycle of violence, drugs and broken homes: living a long, healthy life in Manhattan.

Manhattan was ranked in the upper half of the NY counties in the study, done by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. But just because Manhattanites have low premature-death rates in the bottom 10 percent in the nation doesn't mean they don't issues. "People in Manhattan are living longer but not better. [Manhattan] has a lot of people that say they don't feel very good," said Dr. Patrick Remington, one of the people who conducted the study.

Nearly 20 percent of all Manhattan residents reported being in poor or fair health, which is almost twice the national average. In addition, the average resident reports 3.6 days of poor mental health (feelings) per month, as opposed to the national average of just 2.3 days. It's almost ironic how miserable and filled with neuroses Manhattanites are, considering how much they bitch and moan about how lucky people are to get the privilege to flock here. So is this the ultimate proof that white people problems is an actual disease?
