Police have arrested a man for allegedly stabbing a 21-year-old in the head with a screwdriver in the middle of the street in the West Village early this morning.

According to cops, the incident happened around 6:20 a.m. Wednesday in front of Papaya Dog on Sixth Avenue and W 4th Street. Suspect Ronald Graham, 47, got into an argument with the unidentified male victim, an argument which climaxed with Graham plunging the screwdriver into the right side of the man's head.

"Every day here there are a lot of crazy people who like to fight. There was one screwdriver outside. A big one. The police took it," a worker told the Post.

The victim, whom police sources say didn't know Graham, was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. Graham has been charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon.
