The hosts of a Today show had a brief scare when a man apparently lunged at them during a live segment on Rockefeller Plaza. According to the Post, "A deranged Brooklyn man lunged over a set of barricades and tried to approach them." No one was hurt, but "The program immediately went inside the studio where anchor Ann Curry began delivering the news as if nothing had happened."

If you watch this video, the incident happened when the show was running B-roll while Willie Geist (filling in for Matt Lauer) was teasing an upcoming segment. You can hear some clamoring and what seems to be Meredith Vieira saying, "Jesus!" and Al Roker later saying, "Okee doke." The trio later discussed the disturbance, with Roker claiming the man said, "I'm God's gift to music." Vieira said, "We are lucky we have security and the police department." The police told the Post the man was a 33 years old and arrested.
