A man who fell off a subway platform in Queens was fatally struck by a train last night.
According to police, the incident happened at the N/Q Broadway station near 31st Street in Astoria just after 7 p.m. They say that the man was "staggering on the catwalk" of the elevated platform toward a train when he fell and was struck.
The man, whom the News says was in his 30s, was struck a northbound Q train; he was declared dead at the scene. No criminality is suspected, and the name of the victim has not been released yet.
