March is here! That means climatological winter is over. February was a rare cooler-than-normal month, but winter as a whole wound up being a little warmer and wetter than average. We haven't run the numbers yet but except for one big snowstorm winter's weather was pretty unremarkable. Speaking of unremarkable, today will feature a breezy mix of sun and clouds and a high in the mid 40s. That's about as average as it gets on March 1st.

For the first time in several weeks no weekend storm is expected. Instead, we're looking at a couple of days of cloudy, boring weather. Low pressure is moving out, high pressure is moving in, and there's just enough interaction between the two systems to produce mostly cloudy skies. Mix in a little upper-level disturbance and there's even a slight chance of rain tomorrow afternoon. Saturday's high is expected to be in the mid 40s with Sunday being just a couple degrees cooler.

By early next week the high pressure system will be in control. Monday and Tuesday should see more sun than clouds and highs in the lower, if not middle, 40s. Lots of intrigue currently as to what might happen in the middle of next week. Big storm? Rain? Snow? It's too soon to tell.
